Ladies International Network - København
LINK was founded in 1973 to give English speaking women of many different nationalities living in Denmark the chance to meet socially. We organise a variety of programs covering a wide range of interests. Some events appeal to the entire family, for example picnics and seasonal parties. Others, such as coffee mornings - a regular feature - provide a good opportunity to relax and chat. There are cultural visits to help members learn more about Denmark and there are evening events as well, sometimes with husbands.Goto: www.linkdenmark.com
In addition to the general events, subgroups meet regularly throughout the year, including, tennis, diner's club, Danish conversation, French/English conversation, Permanent Residents (Settlers), Mothers & Toddlers, and golf, to name but a few.
We currently have over 300 members, and we are always happy to welcome new members. We like to think we can help in the adjustment to a new country and environment and offer our members and their families an opportunity to learn and enjoy themselves during their time in Denmark.
Any Canucks on the west coast of Jutland?
Hello - I just moved to the west Jutland town of Struer with my wife and three kids. My wife is Danish. We've lived in Vancouver, Canada for the past 14 years and moved so the kids could connect with their Danish heritage and we could all have some Euro adventure. I'm wondering if there are any Canucks around where I am?lenamusic.com
Lena Anderssen’s story is the story of a natural born singer who has developed into a prolific songwriter, writing melodic pop with the personal edge of the true singer-songwriter. Although she was born in the remote Faroe Islands, Lena grew up in Canada from the age of two to the age of seventeen, so she is unique - a Faroese-Canadian with strong Scandinavian roots, fluent in English, Faroese and Danish.

Ten Commandments
Murphy showed up at Mass one Sunday and the priest almost fell down when he saw him.Murphy had never been seen in church in his life.
After Mass, the priest caught up with Murphy and said, "Murphy, I am so glad you decided to come to Mass. What made you come?"
Murphy said, "I got to be honest with you Father, a while back, I misplaced me hat and I really, really love that hat. I know that McGlynn had a hat just like me hat, and I knew that McGlynn come to church every Sunday. I also knew that McGlynn had to take off his hat during Mass and figured he would leave it in the back of church. So, I was going to leave after Communion and steal McGlynn's hat."
The priest said, "Well, Murphy, I notice that you didn't steal
McGlynn's hat. What changed your mind?"
Murphy said, "Well, after I heard your sermon on the 10 Commandments, I decided that I didn't need to steal McGlynn's hat."
The priest gave Murphy a big smile and said; "After I talked about 'Thou Shalt Not Steal' you decided you would rather do without your hat than burn in Hell, right ?"
Murphy shook his head and said, "No, Father, after you talked about 'Thou "Shalt Not Commit Adultery" I remembered where I left me hat."
Looking for help regarding marriage
Hi there, I hope it's alright to post this here. I'm looking for a little bit of help.I'm a Canadian (from B.C) who has been living in Denmark now for a little over a year as an Au Pair. I'm now looking to get married to my 3 year boyfriend/ fiancee who happens to be a Dane.
We have all our papers ready except one.
Apparently we have to get ahold of some mysterious document that proves I haven't been married in Canada previously. This will be my first marriage, and I shouldn't have a problem proving that. BUT I have no idea where I can get this paper. Has anyone got any idea?
The Canadian consulate here in Denmark bounces us around and nobody has been able to give us any answers. Please help!
