Any Canucks on the west coast of Jutland?

Hello - I just moved to the west Jutland town of Struer with my wife and three kids. My wife is Danish. We've lived in Vancouver, Canada for the past 14 years and moved so the kids could connect with their Danish heritage and we could all have some Euro adventure. I'm wondering if there are any Canucks around where I am?

Hi Theo,
I am not living on the west coast of Jutland, but am located here in Billund. I am also from Vancouver (well, lived there for many years and was born in Saskatchewan). I arrived here in early September to live with my Danish boyfriend and also to explore the Danish half of my heritage (my mother is Danish).

Denmark is beautiful, but I find that I am missing the cultural diversity of Vancouver and also the very affordable eating out (sushi, dim sum, etc.)

Hi Nina - Yeah, I miss the Korean and Thai food the most. I hear they got DUMPED on in Vancouver lately with the snow. Too bad my ski holiday this year will be in France; they just cancelled world cup events there due to lack of snow. Sure is warm here for beginning of December.

I read an article in some local paper about a Canadian living in Billund who works for Lego as a professional lego designer. So that means there are at least two of you there.

Whereabouts you from in Saskatchewan? I lived in Southey for two years as a kid (about 75 km SouthEast of Regina).

Hi again, Theo, Yes, Vancouver has been beleaguered with terrible weather this past week or so, but now the boil only warning on the tap water has been lifted and the snow has begun to recede.

I discovered yesterday that there is another Vancouverite here -- a lego designer -- so that could be the person in question. My Danish kæreste also works for Lego and just met the Vancouver Lego designer, so we shall be meeting up soon.

I was born in Regina, so not far from you!

I also desperately miss all of the sumptious Asian food. I could kill for a good round of dim sum right about now.

Welcome to Struer! We are living about 12 km from you in Vinderup. You're not the only Canadian out here in the middle of Jutland... We're from St. John's and Montreal - but both of us have visited Vancouver...

Hi, there is also myself, my Danish wife and our daughter here in Esbjerg. I am from Vancouver as well and have been living here for just over a year now. Finally some nice weather! Not that the weather in Vancouver is less wet...
